Design 1449 Sea Star
This big motorsailer of 90' length overall was built by the Burger Boat Company of Manitowoc, Wisconsin and launched in 1959. She is constructed of welded steel with teak decks and deckhouse.
Here are a few deck shots.
What can I say about the cheesy bikini clad model? They're the images we have on file.
Here are the plans.
The large cockpit was converted to an all-weather wheelhouse in 1966.
And some interior images.
The last I saw of this boat she was in Miami in very rough shape and with a broken main mast. I spoke with a gentleman since who is a boatbuilder from Holland. He told me he had purchased her and had her shipped to his yard in Holland for a complete restoration.
