Design 1305 Offshore Sport Fisherman Hanka

This 52' sport fisherman was designed for offshore work and built by the Freeport Point Shipyard of Freeport Point, Long Island and launched in 1958. She is powered by twin GM 6-71 diesels generating 235 hp each for a top speed of 18 knots at 2,300 rpm. Maximum range is 1,100 nm at 9 knots.

Here are the plans.

She is constructed of white oak for all structural framing and double planked of mahogany. Fastenings are of Everdur. Interestingly, she sported a Sparkman & Stephens designed custom fiberglass tender of 15' overall powered by a 25 hp Envinrude outboard plus a sailing dinghy, also designed by S&S. I like the crow's nest up the mast.

Principal Dimensions
