W Granville Smith Rose Among Lillies
A while back, I wrote a post about some interested canoe related art from OldPuzzles.com which featured an image of a high-society lady paddling a canoe. The image was a painting by W. Granville Smith entitled a "Rose Among Lillies". Found an EBay item that shows another painting with a closeup of the detail.

LIVINGSTON ROD CO Website Launch Dusty Smith Interview
It's been a long time coming but the Livingston Rod Co. website launched last week with a full run down of all models offered. Dusty Smith has put a lot of time into the creation of the tapers, both graphite and glass, along with custom tapers that he's developed for other clients.

I've fished several of the Livingston Rod Co. fiberglass fly rods in both Montana and Belize and Dusty Smith has got a talent in taper design for sure. Both of these demos were tough to return.
Recently, Dusty Smith sat down with Peter Widener of Fly Shop of the Bighorns for a one on one interview that is worth watching for some more background on the work he's doing as a small shop custom fly rod builder.
Check out the Livingston Rod Co. and follow along the latest shop news on Facebook and Instagram.
